Sunrise on the Tijuca Islands — SUP and Hiking

An Unforgettable Morning at Sea

When the city is still asleep, you'll already be on the open water, watching the sky transform into shades of orange and gold as the sun rises over the Tijuca Islands. This is one of our most beloved experiences — and it's easy to see why.

The tour begins with Stand Up Paddle on calm, glassy waters as dawn breaks — a meditative and breathtaking moment. Then we head to the island for a panoramic hiking trail that takes you to elevated viewpoints with 360° views, including a stunning glimpse of Christ the Redeemer in the distance.

For the adventurous, there are jump spots for all skill levels — from gentle drops to more daring leaps into crystal-clear waters. A light breakfast is served on board to refuel before heading back. Keep an eye out for sea turtles; they're often spotted swimming below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need SUP experience?

Not at all! Stand Up Paddle at sunrise is done on calm, glassy waters. Our instructor will guide beginners step by step. Anyone can enjoy it from the very first minute.

Is the hike difficult?

The trail is moderate in difficulty — it involves some climbing over rocks but is perfectly doable for anyone in reasonable physical condition. Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes or water sandals with grip.

Are the jumps mandatory?

Absolutely not. Jumps are optional and entirely at your own will. You can watch and cheer from the sidelines — there's zero pressure to participate in any activity you're not comfortable with.

What if it rains?

Light rain doesn't necessarily cancel the tour. In cases of strong wind, heavy rain or unsafe sea conditions, we will reschedule or offer a full refund. Your safety always comes first.
